Princeton NJ, [January 21st, 2026] Arun Upadhyay is not new to building from the ground up. As the CEO and Founder of AntGen, Wirelo, and LionOBytes, he leads companies across wireless technology, software innovation, and digital infrastructure. As Forbes Technology Council member, Arun brings a practical, experienced voice to conversations around leadership, growth, and modern entrepreneurship.
1. Words are Important. What We Say Matters
When you're the CEO, everything you say really matters. Arun quickly figured out that even offhand remarks could really affect how people felt, their confidence, and even how they acted throughout the whole company. As time went on, he really started thinking about what he said, choosing words that built people up rather than tearing them down, and working to be clear rather than just reacting.
2. Trust Yourself, When Things Get Tough
Starting your own business is a roller coaster. That feeling of not being good enough pops up exactly when you're dealing with the toughest stuff. There were times when Arun really didn't trust himself. With so much on the line and no clear path, it was hard not to wonder if he was making the right calls. He moved forward because he listened to his gut and remembered his initial motivation. Belief truly doesn't make fear disappear, but it does give you the courage to take action anyway.
3. Focus on What Truly Matters
Business always throws distractions your way. New ideas, side chances, and outside opinions can really scatter your focus. Arun figured out that to grow, you really have to focus. Doing some initial tests really showed him where he truly shined: business-to-business, not dealing with individual customers. After things became clear, it was time to move forward. It is essential to figure out what to chase rather than decide things.
4. Keep Going
Tough times make us stronger. Starting a company back then meant a lot of sleepless nights, worrying about money, and just not knowing what would happen. There were times when I just wanted to give up; it felt like continuing was too hard. Arun Upadhyay learned that persistence is often the difference between failure and success.
5. Your Spouse is Your Strongest Support System
Being a leader can feel lonely, and starting your own business takes a toll on founders, emotionally and mentally. Arun really felt the lasting impact of his wife's steady support, especially when things got tough. When you really see your spouse as a true partner, the tough stuff becomes easier to handle, and the good times feel even better.
In the Words of Arun,
“To get what we have never had, we need to do what we have never done.”
For Arun, every meaningful milestone came from stepping outside his comfort zone and taking thoughtful risks.
